What to Pack in a Sack Lunch / 01

I'm always looking for ideas on what to pack for lunch (we eat at work every day except Friday, when we enjoy a meal out with our friends). Here's what we normally rotate through:

Main dishes:

  • Spaghettios with meatballs
  • Lunchables (cold meat and crackers)
  • Half of an English muffin with peanut butter
  • Cold meat sandwich (Eric eats this almost every day)
  • Macaroni and cheese cups (Kraft or Velveeta)
  • Chicken noodle soup
  • Tomato soup and crackers
  • Peanut butter sandwich
  • Salad
  • Cereal
  • Frozen waffles
  • Scrambled eggs in a mug (actually, I have never brought this to work but I totally should!)
  • Leftovers from the night before

Sides:

  • Applesauce
  • Pudding cup
  • Fresh fruit: raspberries, strawberries, banana, apple, peach, nectarine
  • Chips
  • Cookies
  • Cheddar popcorn
  • String cheese
  • Chips and sour cream dip
  • Raisins
  • Cheese and crackers
  • Pretzel slims

We totally see the financial importance of packing a lunch, but we often get stuck in a rut, and sometimes I feel like a child eating this stuff in front of my boss (even though she claims it couldn't be cuter).

What are some of your favorites? I'm sure I will have lunch-envy when I read your comments while eating my macaroni and cheese cup.
