What I Would Do Different

There are a few things I would do different if I was still pregnant with Rooney. I am not hung up on any of these things (they don't keep me up at night...), but I wanted to share them so you can learn from my mistakes. And, I suppose I can do them next time!

Clockwise from top left:
  • Bring cute hair bows to the hospital (if you are having a girl, or if you might be). They stick in with just a dab of lubricant like KY jellyt. Our hospital did not have these on hand, but I know some do. It just adds a touch of cuteness to the photos. Does anyone have cute, similar ideas for a boy? Maybe a mustache pacifier?
  • Read Babywise. I know it can be misunderstood (and I have to admit I was one of those people who rolled my eyes at it a bit), but it has been a blessing for me and my mommy mind. I have actually never read the book, but I have gotten tips from this blog and a few friends who use it. I wonder if I'm missing anything since I haven't read the book. I just might have to pick it up one of these days. (photo from here)
  • Get a video monitor. This is one of the few things we both say we wish we had. We've obviously lived without it, but there are multiple times we're laying in bed or in the living room and think about how nice it would be. We have this monitor and I love that it displays the temperature and beeps if she stops breathing, but I think an ideal monitor would also display the time of day and act as a walkie-talkie. (!!!)

What would you do different?
