In-Home Date Night

Before our little love came along, we had date night on Wednesdays. Well, having a baby brings about obvious challenges to having a date night every week. We had managed to sneak away for a few hours here and there for a quick date night (usually dinner, errands, and ice cream). And we recently spent our first night away from Rooney, which was also fantastic. But we've still been missing the regularity of being able to connect weekly with one another. When we are at home, it's just too easy to sit around and unintentionally waste the nights away in our own little worlds.

In home date night

Not. Any. More. We're starting a new kind of date night. We're calling it "in-home date night" and it will take place on Thursdays. This is for those weeks that we can't line up/afford a baby sitter and will allow us to have a special night albeit at home.

The time has come to institute weekly date night yet again in casa de Williams. It will be different - we will have to stay home! But it will be special.

A Few Ways to Make Date Night Special at Home

  • Play a board game
  • Clean out our closets
  • Watch a movie
  • Do something crafty
  • Order in
  • Put on some music and have a dance party
  • Dust off the Wii Fit and/or other games

This week has been extra busy, and we're pretty sure this is going to be a super awesome way to spend intentional time together as a couple.

Have you ever had an in-home date night? What would you do on an in-home date?
